CCF and Dragon promotes environmental livelihood program

Last June 1 and 2 along with 200 volunteers of the CCF Dragon slippers was able to bring some of our products to the Dumagat Tribe  of Sitio Paglitao in Baranggay Calawis, Antipolo Rizal.

Located in a part of the Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges. Dumagats are nomadic and their primary livelihood is selling “Kaingin” or coals taken from the burning of trees in the Sierra Madre mountain range, To date, there are 60 families in the said Sitio Paglitao area as well as 300 other families.

Unfortunately the burning of the trees contributes to deforestation thus the CCF developed a program to help educate the tribes to find other more sustainable and environmentally safe livelihood programs. To combat the deforestation

As part of our corporate social responsibility we have provided the CCF with 100 pairs of slippers to be given to the Dumagat tribe to help them with their everyday activities. We have been built to last thus the tribesman does not have to worry of purchasing another pair in the near future so they will have less to worry about.

It is the hope of Dragon Slippers to help programs such as these to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly livelihood programs to contribute to the environment and the future.
